Deniz Yusuf

BDM/Coach and Property Management Trainer

I don’t come from any academic background, I was a business owner in a regional town called Nowra which is on the South Coast of NSW in the Shoalhaven district just a few hours’ drive south of Sydney. I was a fruito for most of my life after I left school, one thing I keep telling people when coaching “There’s no emails in Fruit”, if a new coffee shop opened up, I had to call them or go and visit them to get the business.

Real estate has the same concept, it’s all about asking for the business and what experience you can give your clients. Real estate isn’t just about collecting rent and charging a fee, but about what services and product you can provide your clients, and how much money you can save them by using you or your services. I loved being an agent, and I now love showing others how they can too.

Deniz now Consults, Trains, Mentors and Key-Note presents to Agents across Australia, New Zealand and the United States, through the Inspired Growth Training Program with BDM Coach. “Training an agent to achieve the best possible outcome they can, is very exciting to me, and seeing them achieve their goals or win awards they never thought they could….Inspires me to be an even better Coach. My Goal is your Future, as I Inspire, I get Inspired”.

Paul’s practical and institutional knowledge of the RTA coupled with his involvement in the industry since 1987 gives him a fantastic ‘360 degree view’ of the tenancy relationship.

Toby Mandeno

Senior Planner, Birch Surveyors

My name is Toby Mandeno, I am a qualified Town Planner and member of the New Zealand Institute of Planners. I hold a Masters in Planning (with distinction) from Otago University. Upon qualifying from Otago, I moved to Melbourne, Australia where I worked as a Statutory Planner. I worked within Moonee Valley – an inner city municipality – which was experiencing unprecedented growth. The residential infill development was enabled under Melbourne 2030, which in 2002, introduced new provisions into the Planning Scheme, which encouraged greater density in an attempt to reduce urban sprawl.

Just like Melbourne, Auckland has undergone a paradigm shift in the way the city can grow and develop, resulting from the introduction of the Auckland Unitary Plan – Operative in Part (AUP – OP). With the introduction of the AUP – OP, there are significant opportunities for land owners and investors alike. The rules have for the most part been relaxed, with emphasis now placed on quality outcomes as opposed to minimum lot sizes. However, infill development is not always as easy as perceived, with constrained sites, increased potential for affected parties and servicing limitations increasingly common place. These factors ultimately determine the feasibility of a project, and place an increased emphasis on due diligence.

I have been with Birch Surveyors Limited since 2015. My current role in the company is that of a Senior Planner, responsible for managing the planning team within our Pukekohe, Hamilton and Auckland offices. We are experienced in all aspects of land development, and provide clients feasibility and due diligence assessments for both greenfield, urban and rural development opportunities. Such assessments identify issues with sites, but also provide clients with anticipated time frames for when the site(s) can be serviced and/or development ready.
