Auction Championships 2022 Draw

Sunday 22 May 2022, 7.00pm – Bealey Foyer, Te Pae Convention Centre, Christchurch

First Division (50 – 400 calls) / Open (400+ calls) Auctioneer Heats

Monday 23 May 2022 – Te Pae Convention Centre

Lock up and briefing: 7.00am
First call: 8.00am
The First Division / Open Auction Heats will be in slots of 12 minutes (no need to do the conduct of auction or you could go over on time)

The First Division / Open Heats property will be emailed to all competitors on Friday 13 May 2022.

Note: In-line with the REINZ, there is a new first division this year and the winner will be decided on the highest score in the heats.

Novice Auctioneer Championship (Less than 50 calls)

Monday 24 May 2022 – Te Pae Convention Cente

Lock up and briefing: 7.00am
First call: 8.00am
The Novice Auctioneer Championships will be in slots of 10 minutes. Know your conduct of auction and pay attention to the theme of the competition.
The Novice property will be emailed to all competitors on Friday 13 May.

Open Auctioneer Final

Monday 23 May 2022, 4.50pm

Lock up and briefing: 3.30pm
First call: 4.50pm
The Open Auctioneer Finals will be in slots of 12 minutes (again no conduct of auction). Depending on competitor numbers, we are expecting 5 finalists, this is on the main stage so don’t hold back!

Property

Please note that all auction properties will be supplied by Aaron Davis via email at 5.00pm on Friday 13 May. Tell a story and do not list features.

BIDDING

Seven deadly sins do apply. Time penalties, but not fatal.
There will be something for everyone in the sequence and heed the theme of the competition. Accuracy always with an error of two, you can still win.

PHOTO AND BIOGRAPHY

Photo and Biography
We will require a photo and biography about yourself for the auction competition material. Please ensure the image supplied is high res and your bio is 120 words or less. Please email your photo and bio to eventsnz@harcourts.net no later than Thursday 14 April 2021.

Registration Terms & Conditions
If you would like to compete in either the Novice or the Open / Premier Auction Competition, you must also register and pay for the Harcourts Conference. If you do not register for Conference, you will be automatically taken out of the Auction Competition.

Please ensure when registering for HX that you select “Auctioneer” under the Position / Title field. The Auction Competition options will then appear during the registration process.
