In 2009 she achieved one of the highest international accreditations in the speaking industry, the CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) award held only by 12 other Kiwis and 750 speakers world-wide.

Last year she was awarded the Global Speaker’s Federation Fellow designation. Proving her ability to speak across, ethnicity, regions and cultures. She has spoken to over 80 international events in the past 7 years.

Prior to changing her career at 40 she managed the First Class

DEALING WITH REALESTATE EGENTS AND WHAT WE LOOK FOR

Chalmers Properties Ltd began trading in 1998 and is a 100% owned subsidiary of Port Otago Limited. Its core activity is commercial property investment with holdings in Dunedin, Hamilton and Auckland.

Chalmers manages its investment portfolio through acquisition, property development and at times divestment to produce a diversified portfolio by property type and location. It focuses on achieving long- term value gain while limiting exposure to undeveloped land.

David brings significant experience to his role with 19 years commercial real estate sector, principally with listed property funds. He is a Chartered Surveyor, Registered Property Consultant, Registered Property Manager and Practitioner of the NZ Green Building Council. David also holds a Bachelor of Property degree from Auckland University.

Previous executive positions held include NZX listed companies Property For Industry Ltd, ING Property Trust (Argosy Property Trust) and Urbus Properties Ltd.

SIR BOB JONES

CLOSING KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Sir Bob is one of New Zealand’s leading entrepreneurs and is an astute property investor, author and former politician. He is ranked by NBR as the 8th wealthiest person in New Zealand in the 2021 Wealth List, with a net worth of $1.1 billion.
Sir Bob has extensive commercial property holdings in Auckland and Wellington, and is acknowledged as New Zealand’s largest private office building owner through his company Robt. Jones Holdings Limited. He also has significant property holdings in Australia and Europe.
His property investment career started at the age of 22, when he purchased a commercial building in Lower Hutt. Today Sir Bob’s buildings are almost invariably in city centres and his company is known for its high maintenance standards, as well as a focus on fixing what he refers to as architects’ mistakes.
While at Victoria University of Wellington, he earned a ‘blue’ in boxing and contributed to a boxing column in the university’s newspaper Salient. Sir Bob founded and led the New Zealand Party in 1983, a political party that won 12% of the vote in the 1984 general election, but no seats.
In 1989 he was made a Knight Bachelor in the Queen’s Birthday Honours, and in 1990 received the New Zealand Commemorative Medal. He has written more than 20 books, both on property as well as a variety of other topics.

Michelle is a Real Estate Partner of Dentons Kensington Swan, one of New Zealand’s leading national commercial law firms. She has over 20 years’ experience in commercial real estate law with particular expertise in commercial leasing. Michelle regularly speaks on commercial leasing matters including giving lectures at The University of Auckland (Bachelor of Property). Michelle has written numerous articles, including a number of articles for NAI Harcourts’ Key Assets magazine, and is a regular columnist on commercial leasing topics for the New Zealand Law Society’s ‘The Property Lawyer’ magazine. She sits on the Executive Committee of the Property Law Section of the New Zealand Law Society, is past-committee member of the Property Transactions Committee of the New Zealand Law Society and is an accredited member of the Property Law Section of the New Zealand Law Society
