Sadhana Smiles

CEO, Harcourts Victoria, Australia

Sadhana Smiles is the CEO of Harcourts Group Victoria, the fastest growing real estate group. She started her career as a receptionist, is an accomplished keynote speaker, a well-known industry commentator and author of People Power did you have them @ hello. In 2013, she was named the Victorian Telstra Business Woman.

In 2016, she was one of 100 Women of Influence in Australia by Westpac Awards and rated by the Finn Review. In 2012, she bought Walk a Mile to her organisation which is now a national event raising funds for White Ribbon and making a statement that violence against women is not OK. She is the founder of not for profit Links Fiji taking health care to rural areas of Fiji ensuring that the incidence of cervical cancer is reduced.

She sees herself as a corporate activist, a change maker who makes things happen. Sadhana’s goal is to have an impact on ensuring that the colour and gender of leadership and of our workplaces reflects the communities we live in.

Steve began his real estate career in 1990 as an agent and became a business owner in 1997.  He’s grown his business from a small team of 5 to over 50 team members today.  Specializing in residential and development sales, his office, Harcourts Platinum, has a market share of over 30% and has featured as the Number 1 office in Harcourts South Africa for the last 3 years.  He has also serves as a director of Harcourts South Africa and was inducted in the Harcourts South Africa Hall of Fame in 2015.

Karen Jacobsen

At the age of seven in small town Australia, Karen Jacobsen saw Olivia Newton-John on television and knew what she wanted to do with her life.  She wanted to become a professional singer and move to America.

Today, Karen is an award-winning Singer and Songwriter, with musical career highlights including: sharing the stage with Norah Jones, Neil Sedaka and Christopher Cross, singing the national anthem at major sporting events including 80, 000 people at Giants Stadium for a New York Jets game, and at Queensland’s Suncorp Stadium for an Australia Vs South Africa TriNations International Rugby Game for a crowd of 52, 000. 

Unexpectedly, it was her speaking voice and being known as The GPS Girl® that has brought “Aussie Karen” a unique pop culture status. She is heard in over a billion GPS devices around the world giving directions

Perhaps her speaking voice has given you directions in your car or iPhone as the Australian voice of “Siri”.  Mackay born and New York based, from that one voice-over booking Karen created her brand The GPS Girl®, giving directions for life and business and showing how “Recalculating” drives performance.

A TEDx speaker, Karen has appeared on the NBC Today Show, ABC World News Tonight, the CBS Early Show, in The New York Times, NY Daily News, Glamour magazine, was named one of People Magazine’s Most Intriguing People and Harry Connick Jr called her “hypnotic” on his national US talk show.

Karen’s voice is in demand in the studio as a Voice-Over artist recording customized voice systems and advertising campaigns, and as a speaker for Corporate events.

Karen has written two books; The GPS Girl’s Road Map for Your Future, and Recalculate – Directions for Driving Performance Success.
